MOSI honour, 15 January, 2020.

On the occasion of the tenth anniversary of ‘Mosi Literature Council’ and organized by the Monthly Manabjivan, I was awarded the ‘MosiTribute to Talents-2020’ in ‘Mosi Tribute to Talents and Cultural’ ceremony for special contribution in painting in Bangladesh on 15thJanuary, 2020 at 5 o’clock in the evening at the ‘Kachi Kanchar Mela Auditorium’ in Segunbagicha, Dhaka. Justice Mir Hasmat Ali of the Bangladesh Supreme Court handed over the award to me. Dignitaries from various professions including academicians, cultural personalities, writers, journalists, doctors, social workers were present on that occasion.

Mymansingh Zila Somity, R.U. honour 8 August, 2020.

At the Shaheed Sukhranjan Samaddar Student-Teacher Auditorium of Rajshahi University, on 8 March 2020 at 5 o’clock in the evening, I was awarded ‘Memorial of Tribute-2020’ for my special contribution in the printmaking of Bangladesh at the ‘Reception, Farewell and Cultural Program’ organized by Mymensingh District Association. Honorable Pro Vice-Chancellor of Rajshahi University, Professor Chowdhury Md. Zakaria handed over that honorary memento to me. Students, teachers, journalists and cultural activists were present on that occasion.

ZAINUL honour, 28 December 2019, Canvas of Bangladesh.

On the occasion of the 105th birth anniversary of Shilpacharya Zainul Abedin, for my special contribution in the printmaking in Bangladesh,I was awarded the ‘Zainul Tribute 2019’ at the ‘Meeting and Talent Tribute 2019’ ceremony organized by ‘Canvas of Bangladesh’ at 5 o’clock in the evening on December 28, 2019 at Shahbag Public Library Mini Auditorium in Dhaka. The award was handed over to me by Hamiduzzaman Khan, a renowned sculptor and painter and a former Professor of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Dhaka University. The event was attended by artists, academics, journalists, cultural personalities, writers, children and teenagers and personalities from different walks of life.

SM SULTAN honour, 12 October 2019, Canvas of Bangladesh.

‘Canvas of Bangladesh’ organized ‘Meeting and Tribute 2019’ on the occasion of the 25th death anniversary of renowned painter S.M. Sultan on 10th December 2019 at 5 o’clock in the evening at the Public Library Mini Auditorium in Shahbag, Dhaka. I was awarded the ‘S.M. Sultan Award-2019’ for my special contribution in the field of printmaking in Bangladesh. The award was handed over to me by Farida Zaman, a recent Ekushey Medalist and former professor of Faculty of Fine Arts of Dhaka University. Artists, academics, journalists, cultural personalities, guardians and young kids were present on the occasion

VASANI honour, 29 November 2019, Shadhinata Sangsad.

On the occasion of the 43rd death anniversary of the leader of the oppressed, Maulana Abdul Hamid Khan Bhasani, a discussion on ‘Life and Works of Maulana Bhasani’ was organized by ‘Swadhinata Sangsad’ and a merit awarding ceremony was organized on 29th November, 2019 at 5 o’clock in the evening at ‘Chingri Chinese Restaurant’ katabon in Dhaka. On that occasion, I was awarded the ‘Maulana Bhasani Memorial Award-2019’ for my special contribution in printmaking in Bangladesh. Justice Mir Hasmat Ali of the Bangladesh Supreme Court handed over the award to me. The event was attended by academics, cultural personalities, writers, journalists, social workers and other professionals.

Child art judgment honour, 16 December 2008, Bangladesh Muktijuddha Sangsad Thana command, Rajshahi.

A painting competition for children was organized by Bangladesh Muktijoddha Sangsad, Bangladesh Bank Institutional Thana Command, Rajshahi, on the occasion of the Victory Day. The competition and prize distribution ceremony was held at Bangladesh Bank building, Rajshahi on December 16, 2008 at 10 o’clock in the morning. The authorities selected me as a judge in that painting competition and afterwards awarded me with the ‘Judge’s Honohr’ at that ceremony.

I joined the Fine Arts Department (Presently Fine Arts Faculty) of Rajshahi University on July 2, 2006 as a Lecturer. I was awarded the ‘Teacher’s Reception’ by the Honorable Vice-Chancellor of the University, Professor. Dr. Altaf Hossain at Charukala square.

Suvechcha Award 2003, kotha lolitkala acadmy, Dhaka.

I worked as an Instructor of Arts at ‘Katha Fine Arts Academy’, Badda, Dhaka till 2003.In March of 2003, ‘Katha Fine Arts Academy’ arranged an ‘Award and Tribute’ ceremony at Bangladesh Shishu Academy Auditorium. In that ceremony I was awarded ‘Greetings Award-2003’ for the success I showed as an Instructor of Fine Arts.


SHAHID ZIA ART EX. 2002

On 17th January, 2002 at 11 o’clock in the morning on the occasion of celebrating the 66th birth anniversary of martyred Shahidpresident Ziaur Rahman, the Art Exhibition-2002 titling ‘Martyred President Ziaur Rahman’ was held in the Fine Arts Institute (now Fine Arts Faculty) of Dhaka University. In that exhibition in 2002, my Artwork titled ‘Janatar Zia-1’, which was drawn in mixed media on paper and of 50X120 cm. in size, was specially awarded the Birshrestha Shaheed Matiur Rahman Memorial Award. ANNUAL ART EX. FA, DU 1999.

In the Annual Fine Arts Exibition-1999, organized by the Fine Arts Institute (now Fine Arts Faculty) of Dhaka University, the piece of artworktitled ‘Image of Life and Time-4’, which is 32X48 cm. in size and printed in etching, aquatint and soft-ground technique, achieved The Best Experimental Award. The director of the Fine Arts Institute, Professor Artist Mahmudul Haque has bestowed that award in February of 2000.

BONGOBONDHU ART EX. 1999.

The Artwork titling ‘15 August’, which was drawn in mixed media and of 60X40 cm. on paper in size, achieved Banggabandhu Gold Madel Award, the best award in all media best, in an art exhibition organized by the ‘National Mourning Day’, the 24thmartyrdom anniversary of the Father of Nation Banggabandhu Sheikh Mujibar Rahman, celebration committee. The award was received from nationally renowned poet Shamsur Rahman and the State Minister of Culture and Sports of Peoples’ Republic of Bangladesh Adv. Obaidul Qader in a ‘Meeting and Award Ceremony’ organized in the mini auditorium of Bangladesh National Museumon 13th August, 1999 at 11 o’clock in the morning.

12 Young Artist Exhibition Shilpakala ac 1998.

The Artwork titled ‘Image of Life and Time-16’, which is 39X90 cm. in size and printed in etching, aquatint and soft-ground technique, achieved Honorable Award’ at the 12th Young Artist’s Fine Arts Exhibition-1998, organized by Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy. The award was received from the State Minister of Culture and Sports of Peoples’ Republic of Bangladesh Adv. Obaidul Qader in the auditorium of Chattagram Government Fine Arts College (now Fine Arts Institute, Chattagram University) on 25th April, 1998 at 11 o’clock in the morning.

3RD young Shilpangon 1998.

The painting named ‘Image of Life and Time-15’, which is 50X94 cm. in size and printed in etching, aquatint and soft-ground technique, achieved ‘Honorable Award’ at the 3rd Young Artist’s Fine Arts Exhibition-1998, organized by ‘Shilpanggan’, The Contemporary Art Gallery at Dhanmandi, Dhaka. The award was received from the Chief Guest, Late National Professor, renowned Letariest and Professor of Dhaka University Dr Anisujjaman at Shilpanggan campus on 10th June, 1998 at 5 o’clock in the evening.

ART FOR AMNESTY 1996, AMNESTY INT. BANG.

The Artwork titling ‘Stop’, which was drawn in mixed media on paper and of 60X60cm. in size, achieved Honorable Award’ in ‘Art for Amnesty ’96’, an Art exhibition organized by Amnesty International Bangladesh in 1997. The exhibition was inaugurated and the prizes were bestowed by the US ambassador in Bangladesh Mr. David Ed Meryl on 28th March, 1997 at 5 o’clock in the evening at Institute of Fine Arts, University of Dhaka Campus.

UNITED NATION YANG ARTIST ART EX. SHILPAKALA 1995

The Artwork titling ‘Shantir Bandhan’ (Peace of bond ), which was drawn in mixed media in 1995 and of 62X42 cm. on paper in size, was decorated in ‘Honorable Award’ in Young Artists Art Competition and Exhibition-1995, organized by Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy on the occasion of celebrating the 50th Founding Anniversary of the United Nations. The award was bestowed in Inauguration of the Exhibition and Award Ceremony at the auditorium of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy on 15th December, 1995 at 5 o’clock in the evening.

Group poster exhibition, 1990, Grantha mela, 1st award muktagacha pourosova

Mymensingh District Council organized a book fair naming ‘Book Fair-’90’ in Muktagacha municipality campus on the occasion of celebrating International Mother Language Day. In that fair First Prize was achieved in ‘Poster Exhibition Stall’. The award was bestowed by the Deputy Commissioner of Mymensingh district, Md. Mokhlesur Rahman in a ‘Meeting and Award Ceremony’ at Municipality Library Auditorium on 21st February 1990 at 6 o’clock in the evening.

 


WALLMAGAXINE 1ST AWARD, 1987.

A wall magazine, edited and Illustrated by me, named ‘Shapla’ (luttes) achieved ‘First Prize’ in a ‘Wall Magazine’ competition, organized by Muktagacha Kishaloy Kachi Kanchar Mela, Mymensingh in May of 1987. The award was bestowed by the organizer of that institution Md. Nurul Islam.
