1st SOLO PRINT EXHIBITION 2003

Title : ‘Image of Life and Time’

In the nineties of the twentieth century, I sought to create experimental paintings in semi-abstract and abstract art, and the same trend continues to this day. The theme of the series of my works becomes Image of Life and Time.In my prints, the existing happiness-sorrow, instability, anarchy, violence-hatred and primitive pictures of the society began to be observed. Using strong rhythmic lines, delicate textures, deep tonalities, triangles, circles, semicircles, simple, curved geometric forms, multiple shapes, I sought aesthetic language in this series of works of art. Most of the prints at this time are mainly made with a combination of etching, aquatint and soft-ground techniques. Some of the notable images of this process are Image of Life and Time– 6, 7, 8, 14, 15, 16, 21. ‘Speed’ is done in the drypoint variant; notable among the woodcuts are Image of Life and Time-76 ; among lithography is Image of Life and Time-82; and among lift-ground Etching is Life-10 On March 1, 2003, I organized the first solo exhibition of prints titled Image of Life and Time at the National Gallery of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy.
